My Go-To Fall Look | 2014

Hello hellooo! My go-to fall look is up on my channel, and on this post I will give all of the details AND CHEAPER alternatives to the makeup that I used. This is my first time that I will be doing this, and I really hope y'all like it and that it helps. I know makeup can be super pricey so it is always good to find cheaper alternatives that do a great job as well! :) This makeup look, like I said, is my GO-TO look to wear in the fall and winter. I love a warm smokey eye and a dark lip! This eye look is going to look AMAZING on ANY skin tone and EYE color. I really hope y'all enjoyed the video. If you are new to my channel PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!! xo
The link to my channel is below:

PRODUCTS WITH CHEAPER ALTERNATIVES (alternatives will be in purple) Keep in mind prices will vary depending where you buy them from.:
- Smashbox Photo Finish Primer/Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Primer $9.99
- Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour foundation $38.00/Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme foundation $10.00-$11.00
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in 'soft brown', Brow Powder Duo in 'blonde', Dipbrow Pomade in 'blonde', and the Tinted Brow Gel in 'caramel'/I am sorry, but I don't have any cheaper alternatives for the exact products I use for my brows. Brows are something that I don't mess around with, and Anastasia never lets me down. :) Drugstore brands do however have brow products, just not near as good as the ones I listed above.
- Coastal Scents Camouflage Concealer palette $16.95/Although this palette isn't too terribly expensive, Sonia Kashuk's Hidden Agenda concealer palette from Target is a GREAT dupe for it, if not better in my opinion. $10.49
- Shadows used:
- MAC 'nylon'
- MUG 'peach smoothie'
- MAC 'saddle'
- MAC 'brown script'
- Morphe #40 (matte white shadow)
/All of my eyeshadows that I used are Makeup Geek, Morphe Brushes, and MAC. MUG eyeshadows are super affordable at $5.99 per eyeshadow. I haven't ever found any eyeshadows that are comparable to them from the drugstore. Since they are already such a great price, ESPECIALLY for the quality, I won't be listing any alternatives for them. The same goes with Morphe shadows, because they are the cheapest of them all at $2.99 per shadow! WHAT?!! When I found that out I was freaking out excited, and they are some of the most pigmented AMAZING quality shadows out there in my opinion. MAC eyeshadows however are a bit more expensive than the MUG and Morphe shadows, and I haven't found alternatives for MAC ones either. The quality and shades are just not comparable to any at the drugstore. MAC shadows are $16.00, which is a bit ridiculous for one eyeshadow, but the quality is amazing as well. So my cheaper alternative to MAC eyeshadows are DEFINITELY Makeup Geek and Morphe eyeshadows. I actually like the quality of MUG and Morphe than MAC anyways! ;)
- Stila Stay All Day Liquid Felt Tip Liner/Maybelline Eye Studio Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner $7.99
- Lancome Cills Booster Mascara Primer/E.l.f. Studio Mascara Primer $3.00
- L'Oreal Voluminous Million Excess Mascara $7.97
- Ardell Lashes in 105S $4.95
- Bronzed my face with the IT Cosmetics My Sculpted Face $38.00 palette/Rimmel Natural Bronzer in 'Sun Bronze' $4.28
- Used the same IT palette to contour with the more brown/grey tone color/ You can use a brown eyeshadow with grey undertones to achieve the "natural" contour look. NYX blush in 'Taupe' is a great alternative color for the one I used. $5.00
- Milani Baked Blush in Rose D'Oro 7.49
- MAC Mineralize Skin Finish highlighter in 'soft and gentle' $32.00/ Revlon Highlighting Palette in 'bronze glow' $10.49
- Estee Lauder Lip Pencil in 'Wineberry' $22.00/ Milani Color Statement Lip Pencil in 'Fuchsia' $3.49

Dance recital makeup

Good afternoon loves!!! I hope everyone is having a great day so far! Thanks for stopping by Beauty by AnneCarol. This look is just a quick product breakdown on a more heavy stage makeup look that I did on Toni Sarris for her dance recital. I went heavy on the eyes, but only using matte shades. Using shimmer or metallic shades on the eyes will not be flattering under the intense stage lights. You want to keep the whole makeup look matte for the most part. I also did a bold hot pink lip as you can tell, because you don't want your lips to disappear, and her costume was hot pink too! All products and a little bit of steps will be listed below.

Products used:
- Benefit Stay Flawless 15-hour primer
- NYX HD Photogenic foundation- mixed shades 'natural' and 'nude' & applied with a damp beauty blender
- NYX HD Photogenic concealer in '05 beige' under eyes in upside down triangle, down the nose, between brows and up a little, under cheek bones. (I'm using HD products so the light and flashes won't wash her out.)
- Set the concealer with Dermablend translucent setting powder
- Contoured with MAC pressed Mineralize foundation in 'NC 50' in the hollows of her cheeks, under bottom lip, down the sides of the nose and under the tip, along the hairline, and temples. Blended out with the Real Techniques buffing brush
- Set the foundation with MAC Mineralize Skin Finish powder in 'medium' to make sure everything was matte.
- Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour waterproof powder blush in 'amused'
- I did not highlight the face with any illuminator or highlighters because it would make her look very oily under the lighting instead of having a "highlighted shimmer look."
- Set everything with Urban Decay setting spray
- For the eyes I started by priming them with MAC Paint Pot in 'soft ochre'
- Blended a soft muted rose brown shadow from Morphe Brushes in the crease from inner corner to outer corner and flicking it upwards a bit at the end. The shade is 'ES16' and I blended it with a MAC 217 blending brush. (Obsessed with this shade by the way. PERFECT crease color)
- Blended MAC shadow in 'mystery,' which is a dark chocolate brown, on the outer corner, and brought it a little bit inwards. Applied this with another goat hair blending brush.
- Took a makeup remover wipe and cleaned up the outer edges and any fall out for that crisp outer edge. Doing this also helps for that outer "V" look.
- Blended the same MAC 'mystery' shade downwards to her outer lower lash line so it blended with the outer corner.
- Then I took that rosy brown crease color and blended in on the rest of the lower lash line with a pencil brush.
- For the lid and inner corner color I used 'Brule' from MAC which is a cream shade, & mixed it with a matte white shadow from Morphe brushes. The shade is 'ES40' and I applied it with my Sigma E55 shader brush.
- Used just the matte white shadow for the brow bone highlighter. I used this pretty heavily because I wanted her eyes very bright towards the top part.
- I filled in her brows using Anastasia Beverly Hills brow powder duo in 'dark brown.' I used the lighter shade at the front part of her brows, then used the dark brown shade to fill in the rest. I always like a nice gradient look to any brows, so that is why I always use a lighter shade towards the front. :) (And I am soooo jealous of her thick brows!!! Look how perfect they are!)
- I set her brows in place with the ABH clear brow gel.
- I lined her eyes with Kat Von D's Tattoo liner. (HIGHLY RECOMMEND! It makes putting liquid liner on SO easy.) I just did a slight wing at the end.
- Loaded on the mascara with Too Faced 'Better Than Sex' mascara. Toni has the BEST, most longest eyelashes ever so I did not apply false lashes. Instead I just used several coats, but made sure it did not get clumpy. A trick to make sure your lashes don't get clumpy is after each coat, take a clean lash brush and comb through them. That will get all of the unnecessary mascara out.
- Lined her lips with NYX lip pencil in 'dolly pink' & for the lipstick I used Maybelline 'fuchsia fever' & to top the lips off I used MAC Dazzleglass in 'extra amps'

I hope you all enjoyed this post, and learned something new. My next post will be on all of my favorite summer lipsticks/glosses. Stay tuned. :)

Makeup/Product Breakdown: My sister's prom look

(I am not sure why her lips turned out this bright in the photo, but the true color is like it is in the photo below.)

How BEAUTIFUL is my little sister?! Since I had soooo many people love this look, I decided to do a product breakdown and show you all of the products that I used to create this gorgeous look. I had a lot of people tell me how much they loved the ombre effect on the eyes. I would be glad to do a tutorial on this look. Comment on this post by clicking the pencil icon at the bottom of the post, and tell me if you would like a tutorial. :) I will put in a little bit of "how-to" in this post, but it will mostly be on what products I used and where I used them. I hope you all like this post, and be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNwFXmiiO6FzvPpoRxiEe9A

Also be sure to check out my latest video on my prom 2014 look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dF-C2236QOg

Products:
FACE:
-NYX HD Photogenic Foundation in the color 'natural' I applied it with a damp Beauty Blender.

-MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in 'NC 20' for under the eyes and as a highlight for down the bridge of the nose, center of forehead, above brows, cupid's bow, & the chin. I blended all of the concealer out with a damp Beauty Blender.

-Dermablend translucent setting powder to set concealer with a MAC 150 powder brush.

-MAC Mineralize Pressed Foundation in 'NC 50' to cream contour in the hollows on the cheeks, top of the forehead, temples, under bottom lip, jaw line, & down the sides of the nose. Applied it with Real Techniques pointed foundation brush, & I buffed and blended it out with the Real Techniques buffing brush.

-Set everything else but the concealer and contour with MAC Mineralize Skin Finish powder in 'medium'

-Went over the cream contour with Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Waterproof Matte Bronzer in 'Park Ave Princess' with a MAC 109 small contour brush

-Tarte Amazonian Clay powder blush in 'amused'

-MAC MSF in 'soft and gentle' highlighter

-Urban Decay NAKED Illuminated Face & Body powder on her chest/collar bone

-Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in 'dark brown'

EYES:
-Started off by applying MAC Paint Pot in 'Soft Ochre' for a smooth base for the eyeshadows

-Applied MAC 'saddle' eyeshadow in the crease and outwards to the tail of the brow with a MAC 217 blending brush for the transitioning color

-Patted MAC 'nylon' eyeshadow from the inner corner of the lid all the way to the center of the lid. I left the outer corner blank, because two more colors will be applied there.

-I mixed Morphe Brushes ES47 eyeshadow (golden apricot w/ shimmer) & Urban Decay 'half baked' eyeshadow for the gold color on the center of the lid. This color matched the gold hardware on her dress perfectly. I applied these colors with the Sigma E55 shader brush. Be sure to pat shades that have a lot of shimmer in them on the lid to prevent shadow fall out on the face. This is the main reason I start with the eyes first when doing a more dramatic eye look. This is when we begin the ombre effect. Take the same shader brush you applied the gold colors with and start swiping the color into the 'nylon' shade. Wiggle your brush lightly back and forth where the two colors meet. Take a fluffy blending brush such as a, MAC 224, and go over that line and any work you have done this far.

-I also sprayed MAC Fix+ on my brushes before I applied the shadows to make them more vibrant.

-I took a Sigma E70 medium angled shader brush with MAC 'print' eyeshadow, applied it to the outer "v" of the eye. I then again blended the gold colors with this gray color now with the same technique as before. Take a clean fluffy blending brush and blend out all of your work.

-Used a matte white eyeshadow from Morphe Brushes ES40 as the brow bone highlight

-Used the 2 gold colors and blended them on the lower lash line, & then took the 'print' color and applied it to the outer corner of the lower lash line. Applied both colors with a Sigma E30 pencil brush.

-Lined the top lash line with Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Waterproof Gel Liner in 'black' & did a subtle wing. Applied it with a Sigma E05 eye liner brush.

-Applied a few coats of Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara to top and bottom lashes.

-Used MAC fake lashes but I do not remember the number. Any long wispy lashes will look good with this look.

LIPS:
-MAC 'pink treat' lip liner

-MAC 'impassioned' lipstick

-Revlon Super Lustrous lip gloss in 'fatal apple'

-Set everything and brought a more dewy look back to the face with MAC Fix+ spray

I'm back & with a new video!!!!

Hey my loves!! I am sooo sorry about being M.I.A for quite a bit. I have been so overwhelmed and stressed with school, and it is nonetheless taking over my life. (sigh) Filming YouTube videos and maintaining my blog is a full-time job, and it is really hard to balance that with being a full time student in college. I cannot wait until I am able to focus solely on Youtube, blogging, and most importantly being a makeup artist. I am trying my best to get up as much videos as possible, and post more on my social media. Thank you all for bearing with me in this time.

This video is just a getting ready with me video, and not a tutorial. I will post a tutorial on my eye look. It is just a simple look using the NAKED 3 palette. I will have actual makeup tutorials coming soon, I just needed to get a new video up fast! I hope y’all enjoy! xxoo

Review: Stila's Countless Color Pigments: Acoustic, Indie, & Center Stage ♡

So I have had these cute little things for a while now. Every time I go to get ready I see them just sitting in my vanity drawer, and thought that it would be a good time to do a review on them. I have always been so obsessed with these pigments, and have used them a few times. 'Indie' (center) and 'Acoustic' (far right) are a lot more wearable than 'Center stage' (far left) in my opinion. I use 'Indie' not only for an eyeshadow but as a blush as well. Mixed together makes the most beautiful hot pink shade.

The formula of these pigments are super easy to blend, and have a very smooth consistency. Since they are pigments and not just eyeshadows, you can use them just for about anything. These are only three out of the collection of 10. The other colors are just as gorgeous as the three above.

Right now is the best time to buy these pigments, because they have gone way down in price from $22 to only $8 each!! That is such an affordable price for such a great product!

*The best way to apply these pigments is to wet your brush with some MAC Fix + or some eye drops or water.*

XO

Swatches:

Acoustic (Far right is the pigment all blended together)

Indie (Far right is the pigment all blended together)

Center Stage (Far right is the pigment all blended together)
